Nahal - From the Hives of Oman (2021)

Nahal (meaning "bee" in Arabic) is an 18-minute documentary short directed by Aditi Kumar, an American filmmaker whose work tends toward cultural and environmental subjects. Shot on location in Oman, the film profiles four local beekeepers, using a tour company owner as a narrative thread connecting their stories about family, tradition, and a modest but growing honey industry. Oman's beekeeping culture is relatively little-documented on film, and the short arrives at a moment when Gulf states have been increasingly interested in promoting artisanal and heritage industries as part of broader cultural tourism pushes. No major studio is attached, and the production appears to have operated on a very small, independent scale.

A-Z World Movie Tour Oman 1ST REVIEW ON LETTERBOXD it's a documentary about bees and beekeepers in Oman. Pretty interesting I guess if you give a shit about bees. They've got domesticated honey bees and wild dwarf bees so that shook my whole world. Shot well. Relatively interesting. Real short.
