Love in Aruba (2021)
★★ — Love in Aruba (2021)
Brian Brough is a prolific director within the faith-friendly and family romance space, having made dozens of low-budget productions for the Latter-day Saint market through companies like Candlelight Media Group, which co-produced here alongside Silver Peak Productions and SunWorld Pictures. Love in Aruba (2021) is a fairly typical entry in that cottage industry, a made-for-television style romantic drama that received a limited theatrical release despite its modest, TV-movie scale. Sashleigha Hightower and David McConnell lead, with neither having significant mainstream credits before or since. The Aruba setting gives the production an unusual (for this kind of fare) tropical backdrop, and the film appears to have been shot on location there, lending it a glossy holiday-brochure look that outpaces its budget in visual terms.
A-Z World Movie Tour Aruba It's nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be. It's super predictable, the scripting is a little basic, the acting is fine (from most people). It's just a pretty average movie. I can't believe it released in cinemas. It HAS to be a TV movie. There was some strange conversations about the % of renewable energy on Aruba and a little too much of a tourism advert at some of the locations. Overall.. it's just a below average film but something old people would probably love
